“Define what success means to you and measure your wealth by the impact you make on others in this life. If you do that, your life will be a rich one.” This is the lesson Stephanie Brown’s father, a Vietnam Veteran turned music store owner, taught her.
Money was never the driving force for her father’s entrepreneurial efforts. Instead, he built a fellowship of healing through music for hundreds of veterans and their families who would come into his little music store. Stephanie watched her father pull them aside, share stories, laugh, and sometimes cry, but always bond over a shared experience and the love of music.
As CEO & Founder of The Rosie Network and the US Military Spouse Chamber of Commerce, she gauges her success on the impact they make on veterans and military families. She’s a great personal friend & we’ve been promoting The Rosie Network through Colin Garrett’s 11/11 Veteran Project since 2019.
Stephanie has been featured on FOX Business, CBS, NPR, Woman’s Day Magazine, Business Insider, The New York Times, Military Families Magazine, U.S. Veterans Magazine, and more. She’s the widow of retired Admiral Thomas Brown (SEAL) & has dedicated over 20 years to advocating for military families and veterans.
She was instrumental in developing the first industry-standard Military Spouse-Owned Enterprise Certification (MSEC) and on-boarding companies such as USAA, Johnson & Johnson, CVS Health and Disney. She also leads the Military Spouse Entrepreneur Task Force working with DoD leaders to empower military spouse business owners and budding entrepreneurs to launch and grow small businesses with confidence and clarity, and has served on the Board of many organizations.
