When entrepreneurs see an unmet need in the marketplace, they act. That’s exactly why the 4 co-founders of Triple Nikel, all Army veterans, came up with the idea for their apparel brand.
They saw a lack of diversity in veterans’ apparel among the major clothing brands and decided to take matters into their own hands. Triple Nikel is an unapologetic American lifestyle brand that salutes diversity in everything they do and is disrupting the industry one inclusive design at a time.
The name pays homage to the 555th Parachute Infantry Regiment (AKA the Triple Nickels), where all 4 co-founders began their military careers in the 82nd Airborne Division, Ft Bragg, NC.
Two of the co-founders, Ruben Ayala & Chris “Smurf” McPhee, join me to talk about their mission and how they’re making apparel that speaks for people who are often not heard.
